Quick Picks from a very busy week.

We were doing the Muster thing this week. Late nights followed by early mornings followed by long tour days followed by late nights. Here are some very quick picks of pix while we are loading the car to leave town.

Marmon Muster Monday

Today we started our touring of the area.
We went to see Steve's Hit'n'Miss shop full of single-lung engines from the old days
which included an absolutely beautiful sterling engine.













We ate and did the cutesey village stuff and then went to a train museum where they film a LOT of movies.
And of course we drove Marmons.

We are here. Marmoneers are arriving and the laughs have started.
Sonora is a very nice place. Hot and dry, but nice.
We stayed at a little place called the Gunn House for one night and now have moved to the big hotel where we will stay for FOUR whole days. We are unloading the junkmobile and putting everything into the hotel room for sorting and organizing. I am going to go see if I can help the hosts of this Muster with any last things.
This will be fun.

It seems like a strange paradox, but it really isn't. It's what you two are doing, it's what you are! You probably have no idea what a PRIVILEGE it is for us to be allowed into that dark sadplace to grieve and hurt with you, and in the next breath to reachout for love and laughter and adventure and Marmons and tractors and lions and tigers and elephant seals oooh my!!!!!!!!!!!

A very rare photo opportunity

This was a treat!
I was able to snap this photo of a Yak emerging from his Yakburrow. Most people are unaware that we have many Yaks in this country but they spend most of the daylight hours underground. They only emerge for water, mating, and to do their daily exercise routines. I happened to have my camera ready just as this handsome fellow was climbing out of his Yakburrow.
